I know a couple which is helping reintroduce beavers in Oregon. They call themselves "Beaver Believers". There's a whole literature of studies showing that beavers once enabled North America to resist dessication. So if they are spreading north, that's not necessarily a bad thing, and you might have thought the Guardian would not be so wedded to climate change ideology it would fail to consider this.
