Cowboys and Indians (14 oct 09)

One of the occupational hazards of being a software developer is you get emails and phone calls at all times of the day and night from Indian recruiters who know nothing about software and can't speak English comprehensibly. Whereas, i have an English accent, and I know I sometimes have to put on an American accent to be understood. Neither do they know any geography - if you are in San Francisco, they think you might be interested in a position in Kansas City. The last few days have taken the prize for pointless calls and emails from these losers - I have had no less than five emails and five incomprehensible phone calls from various chaps of the Hindu persuasion, all about the same 'Java developer with Ruby on Rails' job in Carlsbad, California. None of them know where Carlsbad is - I had to look it up - it's in San Diego, where the worst of Anglo America meets the worst of Latin America. I hope that's not racist.

Vikas Jain - We have an urgent requirement for Java developer with Ruby on Rails in Carlsbad, CA.
Vikas Jain (again) - We have an urgent requirement for Java developer with Ruby on Rails in Carlsbad, CA.
Anand Singh - Direct Client: Java developer (Carlsbad, CA)

[What is a 'Direct Client'? Only Indians use that phrase. Do they have indirect clients too?]

Rohit Jain - Start ASAP, 3+ months, Location: Carlsbad, CA, Rate: As low as possible.
Sanjay Gupta - Location: Carlsbad, CA, Location: 3+ months, Start ASAP

Hey Rod I can pay you best of an hourly Rate for this position, if workable please send me your updated resume ASAP.
