Mac everywhere (10 aug 14)

I gave away my last Linux desktop computer. I now have a Mac Air laptop and a Powerbook. When I bring home my Mac laptop from work, I have a stack of three different-size Mac laptops on my kitchen table.

The hardware is superior to anything else, but I'm not sure about the software. It's much harder to turn a Mac into a developer machine than it is with Linux.

Recently, my MacAir decided to upgrade to the latest operating system. Homebrew stopped working, so I had to reinstall it, which requires installing something called "XCode" from Apple. This is a lot harder than Linux.
