Norman Wisdom, one of the kings of British comedy, has just died

He was OK, but Benny Hill was the king

In the 1980's, a new generation of 'comedians' began to take their revenge on their betters

They tried to combine humour with left-wing morality, and were scathing about Benny Hill's 'sexism'

Leaders of this new wave included Ben Elton, Richard Curtis, and Jennifer Saunders, who attempted to be a feminist comedienne

That prestigious journal of record, The Sun, described Elton's attack on Benny Hill:

Now Benny had a rival, a sneering little prig 
In shiny suit from public school, who liked to have a dig

Anyway, these has-been pc wankers are trying to revive their careers by producing comedies about climate change:
