Scientists say they didn't mention the Higgs particle, because its existence was 'obvious' (28 apr 13)

Me too - I never did say when I figured out the existence of a boson which gives "non-zero mass" to the other particles, because it was too obvious. There wouldn't be much point in giving them a zero mass.


Higgs particle joke:

A Higgs particle goes into a Catholic church. The priest says "we don't allow Higgs particles in here". The particle says "how will you have mass, then?"
