You can't make it up CIII - warmest December in Moscow since 1886 (29 dec 19) Naturally, the media blames this on fossil fuel burning. So what caused the abnormally warm winter of 1886? 


Notice what president Putin says, at the end of the article. He does think that a warming world is a threat to Russia, though why that should be, given the immense problems caused by the bleak winters which blanket most of the country for months each year, he does not say. He does however point out that nobody knows the principal cause of the warming. Lysenkoism is long dead, at least in Russia.
