rod mclaughlinLondon mayor Sadiq Khan bans Uber (22 sep 17)
He claims it's because "”Uber’s approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility” in relation to reporting serious criminal offences, obtaining medical certificates and driver background checks" No, it's the revenge of the resentful p.c. mob, allied to Uber's monopolistic, high-priced competitors, undermining a success story, and being hypocrites with it. For decades, I have regarded taxi drivers, all over the world, as the worst of all workers. They can't drive, they can't navigate, they can't speak English - in English-speaking countries. My experience of Uber changed all of that, overnight. How typical of London to make the wrong decision. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/sep/22/uber-licence-transport-for-london-tfl
