The Guardian mistranslates the word 'barbarie' (19 mar 12)

"Barbary, savagery, cruelty cannot win. Hate cannot win. The Republic is stronger than that" Sarkozy said.

Surely 'barbarism' is the correct translation of 'barbarie'. 'Barbary' is a coast, not an outburst of unpleasantness.
