Uber Über Alles (20 jun 17)

I've never liked taxi drivers. Up til now. All over the world, I have encountered taxi drivers who can't drive, can't speak English (in English-speaking countries) and can't navigate. They lie, cheat and steal. Most of them are human garbage.

In Bangkok, I printed out a map in an internet cafe to show the way to my hotel, making sure the writing was in Thai. I showed it to a taxi driver. The fucking moron couldn't read a map. 

But I just discovered Uber. You can call them on an app on your phone. They arrive within minutes, always exactly when the app says. They are polite, good drivers, take you exactly where you are going by the fastest possible route, and cost from one-tenth to one-third of a taxi fare.
