rod mclaughlinYou can't make it up LXXXV - magazine publishes hoax "feminist glaciology" paper (06 mar 16)
The academic journal is called Progress in Human Geography, and the article is "Glaciers, gender, and science: a feminist glaciology framework for global environmental change research" - "Merging feminist postcolonial science studies and feminist political ecology, the feminist glaciology framework generates robust analysis of gender, power, and epistemologies in dynamic social-ecological systems, thereby leading to more just and equitable science and human-ice interactions." Incredible though it may sound, this may not be a hoax. Looking through other papers in this journal, the editors take all kinds of pseudo-intellectual drivel seriously. Back
