Marcott et. al. at Oregon State University published a paper in the once-prestigious journal Science containing a graph of global temperature for the last 11,000 years. It showed an unprecedented upturn in the last century. Steve McIntyre examined the data, and found that this 100 years of data is so unreliable as to be completely useless. The authors admitted it - but without giving credit to McIntyre.
